We will be holding a canvassing training session at our new campaign office Saturday September 14th.
Training will run from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with time for questions and practice.
This training session is mandatory for all canvassing volunteers.
We will use our new-found knowledge and skill immediately after the training by canvassing door-to-door in the Kitsilano Beach and Kitsilano Point neighbourhoods, and by telephone from the campaign office.
If you already have canvassing experience, we would still like you to attend as we have new information and scripts to share. Plus, those of you with experience can help us to make new volunteers familiar with the tools and process.
If you have not gone out canvassing before and want to get involved, this is a great way to meet our team and gain confidence with the C2G app.
If you cannot attend the training session and would like to volunteer for canvassing, please let us know so we can make arrangements to have you trained.
You will need a phone or tablet for door-to-door canvassing, and a phone/tablet, earbuds and a charger for phone canvassing, so please bring these items with you to the training session.
We are also looking for Canvassing Team Captains. This will require you to commit at least one evening a week where you can lead a team of door-to-door volunteers. Please let us know at the training session if this interests you.
